Stepping away from portraiture to work on this new series,
"Maine: People/Places/Things" 
has allowed me to explore new ideas. I have given myself grace to experiment, which has been enlightening. I am constantly curious about composition and the effects I can create with the watercolor medium combined with the pen and ink. For the first time, I am embracing my home state, using the color blue more and incorporating birds.

 I decided to submit a painting to a local art show. It has been years since I have painted in oil and had a piece on public display so I wanted to challenge myself. This is a 36"x48" canvas. B U O Y GALLERY

 I participated in the 16th Annual Art Show at the B U O Y Gallery in Kittery, Maine.  My oil painting of my daughter and two dogs was on display for the public this Spring. I joined over 500 other local artist in this display. Every piece in the exhibit was created in the month of February.  Thank you to everyone that came out to see it.
