 There was something special about being out just after sunrise with my brother,

watching the early bird tourists wander around and feeling fortunate to call this place home. 

I spent many years away sitting on mountain tops and admiring the Pacific Ocean,healing and growing. 

Since then, I've come full circle with my appreciation for my home state. 

I needed time to become the person who could finally see Maine for what it has always been:

beautiful, wild and deeply rooted in my family's history. 

I came back to something that was always a part of me.
